New Technology:-CAD

Introduction

Multimedia industry is most emerging industry of today’s world ,it is influencing every life each corner of world. And specially when it is been digitized its been more powerful and faster than ever before computer aided design (CAD) is a part of multimedia industry and in last decade it is taking place of drawings images and several things

General information

CAD involves the designer's use of the computer as a versatile alternative to more traditional modes of drawing and modeling and is today an indispensable tool for graphic and product designers, engineers, interior designers, and architects. Its basic two-dimensional graphic origins lay in the United States Air Force’s SAGE air defence system in the mid-1950s and were developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory. In 1961 Ivan Sutherland, a doctoral student at MIT, first envisaged a computerized sketchpad that would replace traditional modes of design drawing and by the end of the decade the Computer vision company had sold the first commercial CAD system for production drafting to Xerox. By this time attention had begun to turn to the possibilities of computer-aided three-dimensional modeling. However, in their early stages of development all CAD applications were phenomenally expensive, as were the large computers that powered them. As a result they were generally restricted to large automotive and aerospace corporations such as Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and Lockheed.

Multimedia Industry

The definition of Multimedia is combinations of data, text, sound, graphics, animations, still & moving images, stored in digital form & interactively accessible. Multimedia to me is the utilization of electronic technology to make all those things. People are exposed to the effects of the multimedia industry everyday, probably without even realizing. Brochures, CD-ROMs, DVDs, web pages, play station games are all part of the multi industry.
There are so many jobs in the multimedia industry, ranging from animators, graphic designers, programmers, website designers, photographers, producers, creative directors, researchers, sound designers to videographers. Jobs within the multimedia industry can be in a range of fields, from covering the development of software, to advertising or entertainment production. The growth in the industry and the adva
. . .DVDs are created using multimedia procedures and programs. Its not just the entertainment industry that uses multimedia, the automotive industry use it & engineering principals can be applied through it leading to reductions in costs and time for those companies.
The Multimedia Industry is a huge, fast moving industry that involves almost everything we see and use in our today world. Many things have driven the growth in the multi industry, but in particular the huge growth in the use of the Internet. I think education will be an area that multimedia will influence a great deal more over the next 10 years, through more online learning programs and therefore more opportunities for the long distance learner. Engineers are using interactive programs to work with circuits and architects are creating 3D presentations of houses before they are built all because of multimedia. The home use of the Internet has also grown with there being a greater acceptance of online services such as e-commerce and the drop in prices of technology. Multimedia will continue to make life easier for everyone and influence the way we live (if youre not a hippy).
The Multimedia Industry has changed the way people live and will continue to do so through he means of jobs, education, recreation and economy. nces in technology mean people in the industry constantly need to improve training and qualifications to be on top. Although I don’t think the Internet as such will ever totally take over the role of a teacher, multimedia developments and programs will continue to influence they way things are taught and learnt. Businesses are using it to advertise, to sell online and to transfer money. We have a whole range of games for computers, PS2 and X-box created within the multimedia industry. People who work in this industry need to be flexible and creative. We live seen animations done by Pixer in movies like Finding Memo and Toy Story

Occupations in multimedia Industry
A production artist is a technical and often considered an entry level job position in a creative profession. The job title originated at advertising agencies, assigning what was known as paste-up work (now prepress production) to the position. It's often assumed to be a graphic designer or art director in training position, similar to an apprenticeship. Production artists work closely with the designer and art director to execute the design. What distinguishes "production art" from design is the lack of opportunities to utilize creativity and design training in the work involved. Although the position may be treated as low-skilled labor, the degree of technical knowledge required for some production art work may be comparable to higher skilled engineering, especially with computers.
The term art director is a blanket title for a variety of similar job functions in Advertising & Marketing
